An Introduction
Traderplus (Pty) Ltd a Division of Fineline Technologies looks back at 10 years of joint partnership with Industrial Inkjet Ltd and provides insight into their journey.
A journey that started in 2014, with the first installation completed in 2015, which has propelled Trader Plus to become leaders in the Swing Ticket industry.

“Since our very first single colour / Mono inkjet system in 2015, Trader Plus, a Division of Fine Line Technologies, has strived to make a change in the swing ticket industry. By working closely with IIJ we have accomplished this exceptionally and have gone from our first single colour mono system, to having four full colour CMYK print solutions. Two of these are located in our Asia facility, in Suzhou, China.

In our shared quest for perfection and innovation, IIJ has assisted Trader Plus in 2022 in upgrading our systems by acquiring the newest technology using the KONICA MINOLTA, INC. print heads. It also includes a fully built in pre-heating system. This new system, provides dynamic resolution and superior quality”
Benefits
Touching upon the benefits to Trader Plus in using the IIJ print solution, Stanton Govender – Production Manager at Trader Plus Durban mentions the following:
The elimination of laborious plate changes and set up. With IIJ’s print solution this is a thing of the past.
Improved variable print capabilities, complete with colour brands, size curves and a range of other data.
With the KM1800i print head in the new system solid block colours provide continuity of colour across the print.
Support and Service
The relationship between Industrial Inkjet and Trader Plus started in 2014 between Nadina Using , then Account Manager for IIJ and Pieter Le Grange who initially represented IIJ’s interests in South Africa. Initially as MD for Nipson Technologies and Inkjet South Africa and moving onwards became an integral part of the IIJ team leading the IIJ SA unit. Pieter oversaw sales in the whole of Africa and surrounding territories including all current installations. He worked directly with Mike Thwaites from 2017. Pieter sadly passed away in late 2022.

The continued service and support has since been undertaken, exceptionally, by IIJ UK via the headquarters in Swavesey, Cambridgeshire.
Throughout the relationship over the nearly 10 years since the first meeting of IIJ and Trader Plus SA has been one of mutual collaboration and support.

Training
On-going support for Traderplus and FineLine includes IIJ Academy, an on-site or remote option for training for system operators or advanced users. IIJ training includes optional courses on: Print head theory, Fluids (ink or functional fluids) testing, Electronics and software including waveform theory and direct to system (hands-on) training with either the customers systems or IIJ training modules.
A final request for quote from Dudley on his thoughts about IIJ and our on-going relationship have provided us with huge insight into the needs and requirements of our long standing customers. He also provides us with a little parting gift on this feelings on the partnership and the future.
