Customer Story: Trader Plus

“The IIJ solution has enabled us to grow our business significantly by going into new markets… it has revolutionised our business.”

After a successful installation led by IIJ, two more production lines are being planned in a £2 million total investment

Industrial Inkjet solution

Traderplus is clear about the impact that Industrial Inkjet Ltd’s technology has had upon its business: it has been revolutionised. The capability to deliver both mono and full colour variable data is helping Traderplus to engage in new markets, win new work and leap even further ahead of its competitors in the swing ticket printing section. The installation of the two IIJ inkjet presses has been so successful that a further two are planned.

IIJ, the world leader in bespoke industrial inkjet systems, using Konica Minolta printhead technology, has supplied a MonoPrint and ColourPrint print system to the company, which is headquartered in Durban, South Africa and has another manufacturing site in Suzhou, China.

Major benefits from IIJ:

  • Variable data in full colour
  • Full colour short runs printed digitally, even as few as one ticket
  • Flexible and customisable technology, able to adapt to Traderplus’s needs
  • On-going advisory and technical support that is “second to none”

Background

Pieter Le Grange became a strategic partner of IIJ in 2015 and represents IIJ’s interests in Africa and South Africa. The IIJ systems are fitted on to bases supplied by narrow web converting specialists AB Graphic International, and prior to live printing exhaustive testing took place between IIJ, Traderplus and AB Graphic to ensure smooth transition to live production in South Africa and China. Traderplus’s total investment is around £2 million.

Customer experience

Dudley Cherry, CEO of Traderplus said: “IIJ’s highly flexible, and customised solution is providing us with full variable data printing in both mono and CMYK (colour). We wanted a big step up and the solution from IIJ is the most suitable by far from an inkjet perspective and is putting daylight between us and our competitors.”

“We are more than delighted as this has enabled us to grow our business significantly by going into new markets. In the past month, we have started live printing for two new clients in Australia. We couldn’t have picked up these extremely significant new business opportunities without having the IIJ technology.

We had the exact solution that our customers were looking for and it has been perfect for our requirements. This has revolutionised our business.”
