IIJ’s Pioneering Digital Label Modules – Re-Imagined for LabelExpo 2019

    Posted on

Industrial Inkjet Ltd pioneered the hybrid colour label market with the first IIJ Digital label modules installed in 2010. Designed to fit inline onto existing flexo presses, these were successful across numerous clients in Europe, USA, Asia and Australasia. Fitted to Nilpeter, Mark Andy, Omet, Gallus, and Comco presses, these have given customers the flexibility of digital print and variable data with the in line finishing and low cost analogue printing.

Almost a decade later, whilst many of these systems remain in use IIJ print engine range has developed incredibly in line with the Konica Minolta printhead offering. The latest units run at up to 200m/min for variable data or 100m/min for full colour 600 x 1200dpi images, making them capable of true in line integration.

To make that integration easier, IIJ has now developed a press adaptor system suitable for integrations onto a wide range of flexo preses. Together with a high output LED system, this module can be fitted to the majority of presses without losing flexo stations, and can be rail mounted for maximum flexibility. Thus adding digital functionality where and when it’s needed is simple and cost effective.

IIJ’s digital label modules will be on display at LabelExpo Europe stand number 6D11 in September 2019
