The partnership enables Industrial Inkjet Ltd SA (IIJ SA) to offer Lake Image capability and value to its inkjet solutions. IIJ SA and Lake Image firmly believe this approach will enhance both companies’ offerings. IIJ SA will offer a single source point of contact providing seamless support to the customer.
Industrial Inkjet Ltd – Headquartered near Cambridge UK. IIJ is the official sales and technical support agent for Konica Minolta inkjet printheads outside of Asia. Since 2008 IIJ has manufactured and sold compact inkjet printing units, incorporating Konica Minolta printheads all over the world. These are sold to a wide range of applications, from labels, packaging and forms to direct product printing, and are available in widths of up to 890mm.
With over 350 modules installed world wide, these operations are supported by regional offices in the USA and South Africa.
IIJ’s product portfolio consists of the full MonoPrint and ColourPrint range of compact inkjet printing modules along with the full range of Lake Image Systems solutions including its flagship product, DISCOVERY Multiscan3.
IIJ supplies Retrofit and Hybrid solutions to the printing press markets, single colour or full colour CMYK+W. Recently IIJ and Lake have been very successful in supplying high speed inkjet solutions in key areas of the security printing market, including high speed solutions for UV invisible variable printing.
Lake Image Systems – High speed variable data printing, including inkjet, is now commonplace on many printed items across the print industry. With 25 years of expertise, Lake Image Systems develop, support and provide camera-based inspection solutions to inspect, verify, track and report on documents, labels, plastic cards and packages. Using codes such as OCR, barcodes, 2D codes and QR codes, the inspection solutions detect print errors, identify and track items, secure products, and protect brands and consumers.

Lake’s systems are state of the art and industrially robust, making them a good match for our print systems.” IIJ SA will only supply the Lake Image solutions from a sales perspective and, at this stage, there is no intention to deliver the service support from the IIJ SA offices but it is planned that the IIJ SA office will supply a first level support for the Lake Image Systems solutions.
