Security.
Regulations.
Inkjet printing for security applications are the responsibility of the end manufacturer. The industry standard for security inks is that they must pass a lightfastness test, often they aim to be solvent resistant so they remain anti-tamper as well as surviving abrasion. Paper impacts quality hugely and our team are here for any questions you may have.
Fiduciary Cards.
We offer Digital Drop on Demand printing for financial cards (such as credit and debit cards), accounting for banking compliance, material requirements such as polycarbonate and PVC and high-speed industrial security features. Major credit companies like Mastercard and Visa approve this technology due to the advantages it brings cutting costs while increasing productivity. We also offer a reliable and durable solution for printing variable white ink which is a requirement for this industry.
Tax Stamps & Documents.
IIJ provide tax stamp and official document solutions to some of the worlds largest producers. Variable micro text and level 2 security features combine with the ability to print dynamic 2D codes across a web at high speeds: up to 80m/min subject to data density. These features are crucial for tax stamps to birth certificates and more.
Passports.
IIJ Konica Minolta based Drop-on-Demand technology provides high-resolution personalisation, matching biometric data using a range of colour inks and security inks formulated by IIJ partners to prevent surface scratching or chemical tampering on a variety of substrates. This includes paper and polycarbonate data pages for passports, whilst also providing a range of robust level 2 security features.
ID Cards.
Drop-on-Demand (DoD) Inkjet is a highly efficient method for high-volume centralised facilities, providing high-resolution text and barcode printing onto specialised plastic substrates, including Polycarbonate, at a lower cost per card. We work with Security ink suppliers to provide durable personalisation and a range of secure variable features, including UV-fluorescing (invisible) inks or custom spot varnishes to embed Level 2 security verification.
Microtext
Using Konica Minolta precision piezo Printhead technology, IIJ has developed methodologies to be able to print sub -1pt font text for the security sector.
White Ink
Through multiple rounds of testing we are now able to provide a variety of opaque white inks for multiple Printheads depending on your application.
Covert Inks
Working with trusted suppliers, both for inks and Printheads, we are able to provide a range of covert ink formulations and colours such as fluorescing RGB, IR visible and anti-tamper inks.
Productivity
Our compact print modules coupled with Konica Minolta's high-speed, high-quality Printheads can produce linear speeds of 200m/min from a single row. We understand the need for high up-time and low-waste inkjet solutions.
