PPE
Synthetic fibres, plastics and non-woven materials generally used for PPE applications require certain types of ink sets. While printing onto irregular objects, for example, hardhats, can need out of the box thinking. From robotics to material transport as well as pre and post treatment, IIJ can support you with your next industrial project.

Plaster Board.
Naturally porous materials require faster curing and depending on the environment used, may need to be inherently environmentally resistant.

Metal.
Used in white goods, construction materials and high-end cladding, decorated metals are becoming a more sustainable and resourceful material choice. Talk to us about metamerism, environmental durability, light-fastness and inks that will withstand stamping or bending.

Grit Paper.
Within the grit paper market, inks used for identification, track and trace or advertising of the grit paper directly must withstand the post-processes involved which can include heat, lamination and cutting.

Plastic.
Adhesion to plastics whether thin-film or reinforced heavy duty plastic, is key within the industrial market. These inks, once chosen, must be printed in ways that both work for the product and its intended use. The print must also withstand potential fluid contact such as with oils, fuels, alcohols or heat for example.

Cardboard.
Whether primary or secondary packaging, coted or corrugated, cardboard as a material can range from the industrial through to luxury. Knowing specifics such as environment, use, longevity and regulations are key to choosing ink type which will impact your solution. The IIJ team has worked on these applications for years and can steer you in the right direction.

Control & Instrumentation Products
These user interfaces must survive millions of uses, harsh environments and demanding cleaning regimens. Ensuring good print quality together with chemical and environmental resistance is key. Transitioning from traditional pad or screen printing to digital inkjet requires careful management of various factors. Contact us to find out more.

Industrial Labels
When shifting to digital inkjet for industrial labels, the primary considerations revolve around matching the durability of traditional analogue methods like screen printing or thermal transfer. Because industrial labels are often surface printed, the ink is directly exposed to environmental hazards. Core amongst these include solvent, micro-abrasion, edge lifting, fading or other environmental hazards. Contact us to find out the ways our solutions can help you with your application.
