After working with Konica Minolta in 2005, John Corrall was approached by KM to be the sales and support for them outside of Asia. On the cusp of founding IIJ, John agreed to partner with KM. After a few years, realised the market requirement for complete inkjet solutions for our customers and the rest is history.
The KM printhead team working within IIJ became experts in helping customers successfully integrate Konica Minolta printheads into their systems, with over 1500 successful installs to date. This happened with the support and technical expertise of Konica Minolta.
After over 20 years of partnership, we continue to work alongside KM in inkjet developments, from new printheads capable of reaching more markets to using KM's ink expertise to improve our market offerings.
We are an independent engineering partner of Konica Minolta. The Printhead team helps OEMs and machine manufacturers successfully integrate Konica Minolta printhead technology into their own equipment. I joined Konica Minolta in 2012 and am currently based in the UK as a project Manager supporting the companies Industrial Inkjet Business across Europe.I have had the pleasure of working closely with IIJ for many years. IIJ combines strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of customer needs, making them a trusted partner. Together, we have supported numerous industrial inkjet projects across Europe, and I greatly value their professionalism, collaborative approach, and commitment to customer success.
During my five-month internship at IIJ, I gained valuable hands-on experience and new perspectives. Unlike my previous roles, I was able to engage more directly with customer needs. This experience deepened my understanding of real-world applications and user expectations. By combining my background in electrical engineering and inkjet technology with the insights gained at IIJ, I aim to contribute to improving solutions and supporting IIJ’s continued growth.

Since relocating to the UK in 2024, I have worked closely with IIJ. My responsibilities include providing technical support to printhead customers and driving application development activities across the European market. Through daily collaboration with IIJ and direct engagement with customers, I have gained valuable insights into local needs and challenges that are often difficult to identify from Japan. I serve as a bridge between Konica Minolta in Japan and global customers, helping strengthen communication, resolve technical issues, and support business growth through customer-focused solutions.
I work as a Technical Account Manager for IIJ in the USA, supporting customers across North America with industrial inkjet projects using Konica Minolta printhead technology and IIJ print systems. My role connects people and ideas across sales, engineering, application support, and customer development, helping projects move from early ideas toward practical solutions. Working remotely in this unique role gives me the flexibility to pilot new tools, workflows, and intelligent ways of sharing knowledge across our international teams.
